We Empower Youth to Drive Global Change Through Social Entrepreneurship
Ideas by Youth, Inc., founded in December 2022 by Dr. Sonia Toledo, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing the next generation of social entrepreneurs. Our mission is to equip young people with the skills, confidence, and mindset needed to tackle local and global challenges through innovative, real-world learning experiences.
As the home of the IDEAS Empowered by Youth program, a certified Multiple Task Award Contract (MTAC) initiative, we provide Project-Based Learning (PBL) curricula developed by Dignity of Children, Inc. IDEAS Empowered by Youth engages students in hands-on learning that promotes critical thinking, creativity, and practical problem-solving skills. Through our program, young people gain invaluable entrepreneurial experience, learning to design and implement sustainable solutions that make lasting impacts within their communities and beyond.
Our approach to social entrepreneurship is rooted not only in skill-building but also in emotional intelligence. By fostering empathy, resilience, and collaboration, we prepare youth to become effective, thoughtful leaders capable of inspiring positive change.
